This transmission pan features a drain hole and magnetic drain plug for easier maintenance, cast-aluminum construction with a zinc coating to prevent rust, and raised cooling fins to lower transmission temperatures.  Stock pans are just a thin metal with no fins which dents very easily and does not have any cooling features.  #1 killer of transmissions is heat.  The cooler it runs, the longer it will last!

We at ZZPerformance developed this pan for racing applications where more clearance was needed and after years of use we have noticed more of a benefit than originally anticipated.  The transmission temperatures are significantly lower and has helped in prolonging the life of the transmission even on regular daily driven vehicles.  We specialize in the GM 3.8L 3800 Series II & III engines and transmissions.

This transmission pan fits the 4T60E and 4T65E transmissions that use 6mm oil pan bolts.

While you check if this pan will work on your vehicle, you will also need to measure the bolts used.

NOTE: GM uses two different bolt holes on these transmissions, so two different bolt sizes are available. If you have the 4t65e then you will have the 6mm bolts which will fit without a problem.  Many of the 4t60e will have the 8mm bolts.  Most vehicles 1998 and newer have the 6mm bolts.

If you order the wrong size bolts, you will not be able to install the pan to the transmission. 

Returns are not accepted on modified units.  So if you buy for a 4T60e and drill the holes larger we will not accept a return.  Must be returned in the same condition as you received it otherwise we are unable to resell.
