We make these Coat Rails to order, they are all made in oak and come in any of the following variations painted in Fallow & Ball Paint

UNPAINTED - if you are happy to finish yourself, I also sell unpainted its quite a bit cheaper this way.
We have developed these Solid wood versions of the coat rail, designed for those who like to have an extra touch of quality!
The solid wood coat rails are made in our workshop in Devon, each one is handcrafted by one of our craftsmen.
We use planed timber, which we hand finish using a fine grade sand paper to leave a perfect smooth finish.
We round all the sharp edges by routing the edges to a classic finish.
We rout the back side so that they can hang onto the 2 routed key holes, this means there is no screws on show.
We use a pillar drill to drill the holes for the pegs to go into, the pillar drill ensures when glued the pegs end up perfectly upright .
Next we fill the holes with glue and push the pegs in till the glue oozes up to ensure they are glued all round, we remove the excess with a damp cloth.
Then we paint the coat rail with 3 coats of Farrow and Ball wood paint.
We finish with a coat of clear lacquer which gives a hard protective layer to the wood so it makes it hard wearing.
Finally we spend a long time to ensure that your coat rail arrives in perfect condition every time by wrapping in numerous layers of protective packaging.
Hangs simply from the wall using provided screws and plugs.
