You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.


This is a lovely 60's vintage pattern for knitted clothing to fit dolls 16-22 inches in height. There are four sizes given (see below) and the pattern gives instructions for a vest, knickers (pilch), dress, coat, bonnet and bootees. All items are knitted in 4-ply, and you should be okay using a modern 4-ply in place of the vintage, but work a tension square first to see if a change of needles or ply is needed to obtain the tension in the pattern (see below) before embarking on your project. Crochet is needed when making the garments up and seems to be just d.c. to go round edges and to make loops for buttons to fasten to.

MEASUREMENTS:

To fit dolls 16 [18] [20] [22] inches in height.

MATERIALS: 

4-ply- knickers & dress (see above regards yarn)

1 pair No.10 disc needles

No.3.00 (old 10) disc crochet hook

2 small buttons for vest

Narrow elastic for pilch (knickers)

4 small buttons for dress

3 small buttons for coat

Narrow ribbon for bonnet and bootees

TENSION:

7 stitches and 9 rows to 1 inch over stocking stitch on No.10 needles
