This listing is for a gorgeous 19th Century Bohemian ruby flashed glass candy dish with intricately engraved grapevine decoration.
Measures 8 1/4" high (including lid) with a top diameter of 4", maximum width of 4 1/2" and the base is 3 1/2" in diameter. Weighs 2 lbs.
This nice candy dish features a diamond cut band around the top rim with a ruby flashed engraved 1 1/2" band below and diamond cut design around the lower body. The candy dish sits on a clear glass base that is also ruby flashed with oval windows exposing the clear glass base. There is a rayed panel cut design that covers the entire base. The lid has a matching ruby flashed engraved grapevine band around the outside edge with a panel cut neck and beehive cut knob finial.
This lovely candy dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a small inclusion on the clear base that was done in production (see photos). No other noted flaws.
