All items are sent direct from Poland and normally dispatched within 1 working day excluding weekends and public holidays in Poland.

Priority shipping within Europe takes approx 7 - 13 working days (excluding Russia, mediterranean Islands and offshore states which may take longer)

Priority shipping to the rest of the world takes approx 
8 -15 working days.


Payments accepted by paypal only and must be received within 4 days of the winning bid.

Wooden Chess Board
With Weighted Pieces


This one piece wooden chess board is made in southern Poland using timber from sustainable sources.

The dark squares are made from mahogany and the light squares from sycamore wood, the numbers and letters are stencilled in white. The board is then lacquered to provide the perfect finish.

The playing board measures approx 40cm x 40cm x 1.2cm with 4cm squares.


The chessmen are weighted and made from sycamore wood which is turned and crafted by hand.

The dark playing pieces are stained brown, the lighter pieces are natural wood.  

The pieces  have a lacquered finish.


The approximate weights and sizes of the pieces are as follows,


King - 25g, 85mm tall, 30mm base

Queen - 22g, 75mm tall, 30mm base

Bishop - 17g, 65mm tall, 27mm base

Knight - 15g, 55mm tall, 27mm base

Castle - 15g, 53mm tall, 27mm base

Pawn - 7g, 38mm tall, 20mm base

The total weight of this set is approx 1.9Kg.


Important care instructions

Mahogany is very light sensitive and will darken with age. If left out with the pieces set up this can lead to lighter patches on the board. 

For this reason we strongly recommend covering or storing the board in a dark place when not in use.
