This listing is for a wonderful antique Coin Silver gravy/sauce ladle, c. 1848-1878.

Simple elegant shield design for monogram (unused) on textured handle end with twisted stem and elaborate shell shaped bowl. Marked with old Bailey & Company trademark stamp used on coin silver and "Bailey & Co." of Philadelphia PA in business from 1848-1878. 

Measures 8" long with the bowl being 2 1/2" in diameter. Weighs 55 grams. 

This nice ladle is in excellent condition reflecting only minor signs of normal wear commensurate with age. No noted flaws.
