Where Does It Come From...? Zircon Meaning
Zircons are some of the oldest stones that have been used on the planet, and the meaning of their name dates back to an ancient Persian word. This name became part of the Germanic languages and then was anglicized to the English word Zircon.
The finest and best deposits of Zircon stones come from Madagascar and Canada, but it has also been found in Mt Zomba, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Australia, Canada and the USA.
The colour of Zircon Crystals varies and may be red, orange, yellow, green and brown, but many of these have been heat treated to get these colours. The most common untreated stones are brownish red to brownish yellow.
Why Would You Use It
This stone embodies a strong healing energy and has an effective spiritual grounding vibration. They are known as a 'stone of virtue' as they help to balance the virtuous aspects within you.
