This listing is for an unusual Moser Art Glass rose bowl with ormolu base with heavily applied gold enamel decoration, c. 1885. This lovely rose bowl is very large with rich lime green glass body elaborately decorated with gilded swags and flowers. The bowl sits on in a fitted stand with three elaborate cut-out feet. The body of the glass has an internal ribbed design and a ruffled gilt edged rim. Bowl has a polished pontil with a partial hand written gold number "16" inside. This rose bowl is pictured on page 103, Plate 71 of the book "Moser Artistic Glass, Edition Two" by Gary D. Baldwin and published in 1997. At that time, the value of this large rose was was stated to be from $500.00-$700.00.  

Measures 7" high with a 6" overall width, a base diameter of 3 3/8" and is 5" wide (foot to foot). Weighs 1.8 pounds.

 This lovely rose bowl is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some minor wear to the gilt decorated rim. No other noted flaws.
