 The first volume of 'Poetry' has a handwritten note by the publisher, John Murray, on a front blank page ''No 164, J. M.''; the rest of the volumes are initialed by Murray on the limitation page, but none of the other volumes are numbered. Hardcover, 4tos., quarter blue leather with blue cloth boards, gilt title on spines, gilt coat of arms on front covers, teg, silk bookmarks. Illustrated with tissue-covered plates. conjunction with his Letters and Journals (a six-volume set, not included here). According to the preface, this edition includes 'some emendations, and has been supplemented by additional variants. the printed text has been collated with all the MSS. [and a] new and, it is believed, an improved punctuation has been adopted

ROUGH CUT PAGE EDGES AS ISSUED AND ARE SLIGHTLY DULLED WITH AGE.  CLOTH SPINES WITH GOLD DECORATION GOOD AND SHOW ONLY A LITTLE EDGE WEAR AND MINOR CORNER BUMPING. LEATHER SPINES WITH GOLD LETTERING AND SLIGHTLY SCUFFED WITH MINOR WEAR AT ENDS. BINDING VERY GOOD FOR THEIR AGE.
OVERALL, A SET WELL ABOVE AVERAGE AND CERTAINLY A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY LIBRARY
