Narrative:
Ouchy, the port of Lausanne, is situated on the margin of the lake. It is but a small village, at which the steam-boats from Geneva and Villaneuve call daily. The house in which Gibbon wrote the greater part of his  Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" stands on the road between Ouchy and Lausanne.
