- EDWARD SCHELL, the President of the Manhattan Savings Institution. New York
city. and brother of ltobert Schell. the President of the Bank of the
Metropolis. died December 24. 1893. Mr. Schell was born Nov. 5, 1819 in
the village of Rhinebeck, New York. He was one of four
brothers—Augustus. Richard, Edward and Robert. From 1870 up to the time
he died Mr. Schell was the institution’s President. He was alsoa
director of the Butchers and Drovers‘ Bank, the Union Trust Company.

National Bank, and the Union Trust Company.
