Wedgwood Here is a set of three Wedgwood dinner plates in their "Independence" pattern. Though they were made in England, the "independence" certainly refers to the US, since the eagle depicted is modeled after the Great Seal of the United States, including our motto, "E pluribus unum"; I have included an image of the Seal so you can compare. Or look at the back of a one dollar bill. The plates measure 10-1/4" across; the elaborate design is brown against a cream background. They have a gadroon edge. Condition of all plates is excellent, no cracks, chips, scratches or crazing. Both plates are marked with the standard mark for stoneware that Wedgwood has used since 1940. * * * * * * * PAYMENT: SHIPPING: RETURN POLICY: |
