Bronze Bull Statue, Maliah Kond, Orissa, India, Early 20th C. Metal with a clay core. The Mahlia-Kond live in the tribal-area of Orissa in North-East India. From the Mid-19th C. untill the beginning of the 20th C., nomadic blacksmiths manufactured these statues for the Kond in cire perdue (lost-wax technique) This is a nice old piece.
