15 Mice In One Weekend - Kentucky Ringer Mouse Trap In Action

The best rolling style mouse trap made. All aluminum lightweight construction( 5-gallon bucket not included). This was a design my late grandpa showed me back over 30 years ago that he used as a young kid. After years of using these on our farm I improved the design by adding a spinning ring in the middle of the trap. This has drastically increased the success rate of the trap. Now even if it is a really small mouse, or one that has learned to balance on the rod he will not escape this trap. Once he starts to cross and hits the ring he eather trys to go over and loses his balance or tries to turn around and again losses his balance. This simple to use mouse trap that will catch multiple rodents in one night. We have a farm and use these in our barns, garage and houses. I was tired of setting up multiple mouse traps every day that miss the mice most of the time, and could only catch a limited amount of mice each night. With this trap I just set it up and forget about it for a few days. Plus you can just flush or dump the dead mice out and not have to touch them. The bucket is easy to wash out and clean.

To set up the trap all you need is a 5-gallon bucket(5-gallon bucket not included), a way to add holes to the bucket, and  2 pieces of wood for the ramps. you can use scrap wood or even aa stick out of the yard. First drill the holes with 5/16" drill bit or burn a hole with nail and lighter. Make the holes above the bucket handle and offset a little to one side so after the trap is installed you can still use the bucket handles. Than insert the trap into the bucket. Check that it spins freely. Than add some wood ramps for the mice to climb up. Just let the ramps rest on the ends of the treaded rods. You can use rubber bands, screws or zip ties to holds ramps. I add a screw into the wood and than rubber band it to the rod sticking out of the bucket. I just let the ramps rest on the rods and the rubber band keeps it from slipping off. Than add water and bait to center of trap. Some people say adding cooking oil to make trap slippery will help.

I have a video on YouTube shows trap in action. I am always trying to improve my traps so if you have suggestions let me know. I would also like to see pictures, videos or just stories about how it worked for you.
