genuine British army rear pouches,
issued to forces from 1958 up to early 90s. British-made using British
materials and fittings, from an era when quality was not compromised, THe canvas is incredibly hard wearing and will take alot of hard knocks.
Fantastic
double pouch set of military rear pouches, which are adaptable to just about
any application on the bike. Can fit with fixings already on these pouches, or
use small cable ties or elastic bungee cords ( not supplied)
Can be used:
- as a pair of panniers, one set for each side if you buy 2.
- as a pair of top bar mounted panniers.
- cut them in half and use one as a handlebar mounted bag, the other as a
pannier bag on a rack.
Please bear in mind these have been isussed and used in the field by members of our armed forces, therefore there maybe names written on hte back, will show signs of dirt etc, but a good wash will get rid of the dirt and grime.
I will not sell anything that has holes or rips in them, but once again bear in mind this had been issued so will have scuffs and a few losse threads around them , but will still have years of use in them.
If you dont like the colour, I am sure you can dye these to your favourite colour or to match your bike using dyes available.
Quick release fittings that will adapt to pretty much any bike or any application you wish to use them for.
They
make great top tube panniers and will hold a lot of items. 8 inches
wide x 3 inches deep x 9 or 10 inches high. Approximate measurements, as
they are slightly expandable due to design and material.
Made to
last and last and last and will probably never wear out. Can be cut in
two and used as single panniers with a rack or used as a handlebar bag.
If
you find that the straps supplied are not suitable then cable ties
could be used or small nylon straps to fix to the metal loops on the
bags. You may need to use additional tie-downs to stop the panniers from
moving around.
Buyers can collect, but please arrange a time before doing this, if you pick them up it will be cash on collection.
