Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a lovely antique English Sterling Silver calling card/business card case, c. 1913.

This attractive card case is shaped as a ladies purse with flap front opening and is decorated with an elaborately engraved scroll design. The design is on both sides of the case with a cartouche on the back containing a fancy 3-letter monogram "N R H". The purse has an attached chain with finger hold at top. This unusual case is definitely a beauty!

Measures 4" long, 2 1/2" wide and 1/8" deep. Weighs 60 grams. Case is thin and will only hold a few cards.

Silver is marked with English hallmarks for Birmingham, Sterling, date letter for 1913 and has unidentified maker's stamp with initials A. & L. Ltd.
