Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a STUNNING Wheeling Peach Blow Art Glass stick vase, c. 1886-1890. This vase shades from a rich mahogany/cherry red at the top to a custard color at the base which is complimented by its white opaque cased glass interior and glossy finish on the exterior. The vase has a long slender neck with a bulbous body with a polished pontil. Made by the Hobbs, Brockunier Glass Company in Wheeling, West Virginia.  This was an expensive glass to make and was therefore made for only a very short period which contributes to its rarity and desirability. A similar vase is pictured on page 126 of "The Collector's Encyclopedia of American Art Glass, Second Edition" by John A. Shuman III.

 Measures 8 3/4" high, 3/4" neck and 3 3/4" wide. Weighs 11 ounces.

This RARE vase is absolutely breathtaking and is in very good to excellent condition with no major flaws. There is one tiny no-harm pin-point sized flaw on the top edge of the white cased interior that appears to be a factory flaw and is almost unnoticed and can't be felt on the top rim.

If you collect American Art Glass, this would be a fantastic addition to your collection! We also have this vase available in a matte finish.
