a water pressure reducing valve

1/ rotate filter cartridge cap left

until handle is in vertical position

2/ pull cap + filter out from fridge base

small amount of water will escape
but will shut off automatically

3/ remove the cartridge cap-handle
slide it off end of old cartridge

retain filter base cap-handle

protective cap from top of new filter

5/ slide cap-handle onto new filter
