• ¼” LEXAN-The windshield is manufactured using ¼” Lexan that will not bow at high speeds or when hauling as compared to 3/16” Lexan. Additional attributes of Lexan are:
o 250 times the impact strength of glass
o Excellent light transmission
o Excellent sound abatement properties
o Superior insulating properties
• QI STRAPS-The Quick Install Straps provide the quickest and easiest installation of a windshield on the market.....NO TOOLS REQUIRED! Made of military-grade hook and loop, simply thread the straps through the windshield slots, mount, and attach. IT"S THAT EASY.
• 2 PIECE DESIGN-Each windshield section mounts independently of the other. This allows the rider the option of riding with both sections on or just the top or bottom on when more air in the cab is desired.
• DUAL VENTS-We’ve upgraded all of our windshields to include dual vents on the bottom windshield section. A line of vent openings have been cut in front of the driver and passenger. The vents open and close by sliding the vent covers from side to side.
• AUTOMOTIVE TRIM-The bottom, sides, and top of the lower windshield section, and the sides of the upper windshield section, have a flexible PVC edge trim installed. The trim on the bottom of the lower section includes a flexible bubble to better seal any gaps between the windshield and hood line.
• BENDS-All of our 2 piece windshields have bends, either for design purposes or to add strength to the windshield. At the top of the lower section, the windshield contains a bend out of approximately 60 degrees. At the bottom of the upper section, the windshield contains two bends; one out and one down. This allows the bends in the upper section to mount over the bend in the bottom section. Please see the listing photos showing these bends. An additional bend is designed at the top of the upper section. This bend strengthens the Lexan and provides stability at high speeds or while towing. Your windshield may contain additional bends if needed to contour to the vehicle’s cab frame.
• ADDITIONAL FEATURES-All hardware needed to install the windshield is shipped with the windshield. The top of the windshield stops just below the front cross bar. The windshield should not interfere with your hard top.
• COLOR-The windshield is manufactured using clear Lexan. Tinted Lexan is available at additional cost.
• WARRANTY-The windshield is guaranteed for one year for manufacturing defects.
• SHIPPING-Depending on rates, the windshield may ship via UPS or FedEx.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the windshield scratch?
The windshield is manufactured using a standard grade Lexan 9034. Lexan 9034 does not have the Margard coating that is applied to MR10 Lexan which is available on our BEST windshield. As a result, the windshield can scratch. However, the manufacturer recommends using a mild automotive polish to minimize scratches and minor abrasions. Test a small area of the windshield prior to using the polish on the entire sheet. The polish manufacturer’s instructions should be followed.
How should I clean the windshield?
Hose off any excess dirt and mud before cleaning. Gently wash the windshield with a solution of mild soap and lukewarm water, using a soft, grid-free cloth or sponge. NEVER USA AN AMMONIA BASED CLEANER ON POLYCARBONATE.
Can I haul my UTV with the windshield on?
Trailering your UTV with the windshield on is not a problem. We’ve hauled UTV’s with our windshields on, up and down the interstate. Just obey the speed limit and you shouldn’t have any problems.
How do I access the storage area under the hood?
Simply remove the lower windshield section. With the EZ straps, that task is quick and EZ.
Can I install a windshield wiper on my windshield?
We don’t recommend using a windshield wiper on the 9034 Lexan. If you need a windshield wiper, an upgrade to MR10 Lexan is recommended. However, over time, even the MR10 can be scratched from the constant rub of a windshield wiper.
Do you make a flip windshield?
We do not manufacture a flip windshield. Frankly, we haven’t found a hinge mechanism short of a heavy steel piano hinge that meets our quality standards. Some of the hinges we see out there are made of plastic and are used in the golf cart business. After about a year of bending, they begin to crack. That’s just not good enough for us. If airflow into the cab is needed, the Dual Vents work great. If you prefer to remove a section of the windshield, the 2 piece independent design makes that possible.
Can I get an enclosure to go with my windshield?
