antique native american leather and beaded plains indian pouch
this is a native american leather and double sided beadwork pouch 5 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide at the beaded base. i acquired this from a missouri collection so i think plains indians but am no expert. has soft worn sueded leather with cut marks across the top to string tie it together , no leather string tie with this piece thoughthe beadwork is in good condition and has a slightly different design to each side . i believe this must have been for medicine or gunpowder?a very unique shape to it.
