This is a men's steel IWC International Watch Co Schaffhausen wrist watch, circa 1940's. The watch features a two piece steel case signed IWC (Serial # 1.106.283). It measures 43.00mm x 35.00mm without the crown. The watch has a Cal. 83 rhodium plated “fausses côtes” decoration 18 jewel IWC movement with a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring that is in non running condition (Serial # 1.093.491). It is topped with an original silver painted dial with applied gold stick indexes and sweep-seconds. The watch is in overall very good condition.
