NEW ZU AUDIO / MISSION-LC [Mk.I] 10ft [3.0m]

Connector options available on this listing without surcharge are: standard 1/4" [6.3mm] spades, oversized 5/16" [8mm] spades, banana plugs, bare wire, and ZuB3. NOTE, while Connector options are available free of charge, amp-side and speaker-side connectors must be noted at time of payment within payment notes. Failure to list them will result in cables being shipped with bare-wire on all ends. Why? Our eBay rating includes shipping performance. If you pay without stating your needed connectors and we hold your product instead of immediately shipping it, we are penalized which degrades our performance rating and costs us money.

Zu Mission-LC (Loudspeaker Cable) Mk.I was in production and without revision from 2010 through 2015. Mission-LC Mk.II supersedes the original. Original (and the new Mk.II) are high conductance loudspeaker cables that can be used for all loudspeaker/amplifier applications were fidelity is the primary concern, right next to keeping price rational.

Zu Mission-LC Mk.I performs at a much higher level than its price would suggest and it has very nice, easy to work with supple hand. The cable has excellent resolution and has a tone center right smack in the middle of the music weighted power spectrum. Sure it performs well on the extremes, but it never looses its rock-solid performance in the meat of the music. Mission-LC is agile and dynamic but will not highlight or emphasis problems in recordings, or your room or the playback rig.

Zu Mission-LC is engineered from the ground up by Zu and manufactured in-house. Though we care deeply about the quality of products we build, designing a loudspeaker cable that truly delivers better sound takes more than love, sweat and tears—it starts with engineering, and knowing what it is in the sound you are chasing. So engineering of this cable, and all Zu cables, begins within a clear view of tone, realized through the electrodynamics—the magnetic and electric fields within the dynamic environment in which the cable operates. Within the electromagnetic model we design to  our sonic goals, and then we maximize the materials to fit; the wires and conductors, insulation and dielectrics, jacketing, connector, and termination, the stuff most cable companies market to justify their obscene prices. Sincerely, our intent with Mission-LC was to create a loudspeaker cable that not only improves the sound of your system but looks great, feels good and one built to last a lifetime. But you are the arbiter, our 60-day satisfaction helps facilitate it.

Mission-LC are a hexapolar electromagnetic design—built on signal and power transmission technology originating with Nikola Tesla—an electrodynamics format that allowed for very wide bandwidth and large power transmission.

Mission-LC will require a good bit of play before it’s fully burned in, roughly 200 hours. We do not recommend any burn-in devices or special recordings. We do recommend music you enjoy, preferably upbeat full-spectrum recordings: rock, dance, full orchestra, big band.... For the possible how and whys about burn-in please see our our Answers section.

If you have questions please let us know, we love what we do and we're here to help.
