Before You buy: Make sure Your pump is rebuildable, the shaft must not be worn where the bearings are located and on its split end.
Steel impeller pumps were built in GL1200s and late GL1100s. Early GL1100s and all GL1000s had a bakelite impeller pump. Both can be interchanged.
Honda has discontinued the bakelite impeller pumps, when You buy a new pump (159USD) at Honda, You get a metal impeller.
