BEARING PRESS FOR BICYCLE HUBS & FRAMES
   Easily install bearings correctly!
Designed to install the sealed cartridge bearings that are found on many brands of bicycle hub and full suspension MTB bike frames.

Each tool consists of a pair of drifts (sometimes called spacers or bushings) precision machined to match the bearings inside and outside diameters, and a threaded rod to press the drifts together.

  • 30% off every second tool - add two extractors or presses to the basket before checking out

  • Designed & manufactured in the UK

  • Precision engineered from 316L stainless steel & 6082-T6 aluminium

  • Each press drift is engraved with it's size for easy identification

Each press can be purchased with either T-bar handles or simple nuts. Both of these options include a pair of drifts and one of our new stainless steel threaded rods.

The T-bar handles make the tool super-easy to use, and come with a pair of extensions for added versatility, while the nuts are a functional and cheaper option and are used with normal spanners.

A drifts only option is offered for buyers who have already purchased the kit with the T-bar handles or the nuts before, and only need the drifts to fit a bearing size.

The threaded portion of the threaded rod supplied with this press is 144mm long with additional 8mm of non-threaded length at each end to lead the handles/nuts on and off.

All of our presses are designed around an 8mm threaded rod, but if you already have a press from another manufacturer that uses a different diameter, we can bore out our drifts to match at no additional cost.  Just drop us an email.

Unlike some other bearing press designs, our design closely fits the inside and outside diameters of the bearing to ensure that the tool remains accurately centred and the bearings are pressed in straight.

Our drifts are carefully machined to maintain exact alignment between the inner and outer races of the bearing, meaning that no stress is placed across the bearings, prolonging bearing life and protecting the frame or hub.

How to Use

The press tool is simple to use.

1. A pair of drifts is supplied for each bearing size.  The shape of the drifts ensures that it accurately centres on the bearing, and that pressure is applied to the outer race bike bearing puller
2. For best results install one bearing at a time.  The second drift can sit in the place of the second bearing.  Tightening the nuts or handles draws the spacers together, pressing the bearing into place bike bearing puller
3. For single bearing in thin parts, like linkages, the second drift can be turned backwards.  The chamfer on the back of the drift helps centre it on the part bike bearing puller

Selecting the Correct Tool

We offer kits of bearing tools tailor made for many bikes, including Specialised, Santa Cruz, Trek, Mondraker, YT, Transition, Whyte, Canyon, Intense and many others.

Each sale includes all of the press sizes required for selected frame (1, 2, 3 or more presses).

See our other items, or search eBay for ‘bearing press kit’ and your bike brand to find our listings. If you can’t find a listing for your bike let us know and we’ll see if we can make a kit for you!

If you only want a single tool then please see our other eBay items, where tools can be individually selected either by the bearing dimensions or by the bearing's standard reference code.

Bearing Extractors

Our bearing pullers are available individually and in kits.  Our expanding pullers can even remove blind and back to back bearings.  We offer 30% off every second item from our individual tool menus, including mix and match of pullers and press.  Click on the image below for a link to our pullers!

Shipping & Taxes

We dispatch orders on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  The cut off for dispatch is usually 8am that day.

UK orders are sent by Royal Mail RM24 (First Class).

International orders are welcomed and will be sent by DHL GlobalMail or Royal Mail International Standard (Airmail). These shippers indicate that delivery in Europe should take 3-5 working days and the rest of the world in 5-7 working days, though realistically this is often 5-10 workings days and customs inspections can have an effect.

International orders will pay only once for shipping.  Add two or more pullers, presses or kits to the basket to qualify.

Ebay collects tax on behalf of the EU, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and some US states, so your order should arrive in these countries with no further taxes to pay.
