Porting
Want to bring your pre-existing number over to Red Pocket? Not a problem! We however have a small number of requirements that need to be met, please make sure you can meet the following criteria:
You can bring your number over to Red Pocket from all the US carriers and mobile operators including but not limited to Boost Mobile, Page Plus, Virgin Mobile, and more.
Due to policies set by Red Pocket's underlying carrier for its CDMA LTE service, if either your phone number or your device is currently active with Red Pocket's underlying carrier for its CDMA LTE service, you may be unable to activate them on Red Pocket CDMA LTE. If you wish to use Red Pocket's CDMA LTE service, please ensure that a) your device is currently not active with Red Pocket's underlying carrier for CDMA LTE service and b) you either activate a new number or port in your number from a different carrier. Please note that no similar restrictions exist for activating service on Red Pocket's CDMA 3G, GSMA or GSMT services.
Due to policies set by Red Pocket's underlying carriers for its CDMAS (Sprint) service, if your phone number and your device is currently active with Red Pocket's underlying carrier for its CDMAS (Sprint) service, you will be unable to activate the device with a port if for the corresponding phone number on Red PocketCDMAS. If you wish to use Red Pocket's CDMAS service, please ensure that a) your device is currently not active with Red Pocket's underlying carriers for CDMAS (Sprint) service b)you either activate a new number or port in your number from a different carrier. You may also port in your existing phone number to a new device not currently active with the underlying carrier. Please note that no similar restrictions exist for activating service on Red Pocket's CDMA 3G, GSMA or GSMT.
Keep updated on the status of bringing your phone number to Red Pocket by creating an account here at redpocket.com/login. This will allow you to see when your phone number is ported into Red Pocket.
It is important to be 100% accurate with your porting information. If incorrect information is provided, it can provide serious delay to the transfer. In some cases, delays may also be from your previous wireless service provider as they can be slow in releasing your number.
