This listing is for a lovely Sterling Silver oval vegetable bowl made by Towle in the LOUIS XIV pattern. The flatware pattern was issued in 1924 and discontinued in 1996. The design features a decorative band around the outside rim with an engraved design on the flattened band around the shoulder area and eight beautiful floral designs in swag medallions around the side walls. In the center bottom is a fancy monogram "B". Marked "Louis XIV, Patented Dec.23.1919, By Towle" with the Towle trademark stamp and "Sterling, 45161". 

Measures 2" high, 10 1/4" long and 8 3/4" wide. Weighs 310 grams. 

This nice vegetable bowl is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no major flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear around bottom edge and on the slightly raised center bottom.
