This is the black stone Piedra Negra model which even-though it is grey color as pictured it will little by little become darker as you use it. This model is better quality than normal molcajetes because you can put it in the oven and the heat from the oven will not damage it. They are hand made and some have little extra things on them like a little partial face or tail of a pig and some don't. They come mixed in a batch directly from Mexico so we can't pick and choose. They are all round as pictured though.
