Window vent-panel for air conditioner or tumble dryer with  6"/150mm, 5"/125mm or 4"/100mm hole for exhaust hose or custom attachment (Note: main picture shows a vent-panel with a third-party wall-flange with spigot - not supplied by us - to which the exhaust hose is connected.)

Don't delay - once it gets hot and the orders stream in, it can take up to 3 weeks for you to receive your vent-panel and by then it may be to late to enjoy its benefits.

The heat is on and with global warming it's only going to get hotter.  So why spend hundreds of £££s on an air conditioner and then skimp on getting the hot exhaust air out of your room and keeping the cool air in.  Even if you don't use your vent-panel much this year, you will next year and the year after - it's an investment in improving the efficiency of your unit and the level of comfort you'll enjoy, now and in the future.

See what our customers have to say: "I just tried out the new panel and it is perfect and a thousand times better than the rubbish fabric window kit that I used before."

To keep the warm air out and the cool air in you need one or possibly two things plus optional extras:
  1. A vent-panel to replace your window in the window frame.
  2. A way of connecting your airconditioner's exhaust hose to the vent-panel.  This is optional and you can just go with a standard 4/5/6" round hole. However, this is unlikely to provide you with a good seal or a quick/easy way of connecting/disconnecting the exhaust hose from the vent-panel.  So many of our customers also buy either a modified user-supplied slider (where we adapt the window slider into which the fishtail connects) or a custom adapter (for de Longhi, AEG and other makes).  The polycarbonate is unfortunately not strong or thick enough to take a fishtail directly. Some manufacturer supplied wall-flanges just need a round custom hole size.
  3. Any extras we can supply to complete your installation such as drilling holes to hold wall flanges in place, the bolts and foam tape to improve the seal.
Vent-panel features:

For any portable air conditioning unit or tumble dryer to work properly you need to exhaust the hot moist air it generates from the room. How do you do this without drilling a hole in the wall or having an open window through which the warm air you are trying to keep out comes back in?

You buy a window vent-panel. The simple, lightweight and easy to fit solution to providing for the exhaust of a portable air conditioning unit or tumble dryer.

Limitations
  • minimum window opening size 26cm x 40cm (internal window aperture dimensions)
  • maximum window opening size 105cm x 196cm* (internal window aperture dimensions) *panels over 116cm and up to 148cm long subject to additional carriage charge of £7, over 148cm long or more than 1msq, price to be quoted)
  • split panels designed to be stacked or folded can be made to cater for large apertures or to avoid extra-large carriage charges
  • rectangular or square-shaped windows only (other shapes and extra large by special request)
  • there needs to be a gap of at least 1cm between the edge of the open window and the window frame on the hinged side in which the vent-panel will sit
  • not suitable for inward-opening windows or velux
  • fixing hooks must be affixed to smooth, dry and clean surfaces and have a footprint of 28mm wide x 22mm high (you can fit your own fixing hooks)
  • the vent-panel is not burglar-proof and should be removed and the window closed when unattended
The production of your vent-panel will not begin until all the necessary details have been provided.
Please check your email regularly after placing your order in case any further information is needed.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • The vent-panel you receive will be 19mm bigger for each dimension you provide so it can overlap the window frame (we will add 19mm to the height you give us and 19mm to the width you give us giving 9.5mm overlap all round the window frame). If you want the panel cut to the measurements you supply please say that you want it cut to that EXACT size.
  • If you are fitting the vent-panel to a sash window say so, as the extra applied will only be 12mm and only apply to the width of the vent-panel. The height of the panel will be determined by the size of the hole requested.
  • As standard, your vent-panel will come with holes for the elastic cords. If you plan to attach the vent-panel using velcro or some other means and don't want any of these holes please specify NO CORD HOLES.
  • This is not precision engineering and so sizes and dimensions might differ slightly from those specified but we endeavour to cut so that no further modification is required; holes and exact sizes may be a fraction bigger than asked for.
  • Unless requested otherwise, the vent hole will be situated towards a corner of the panel. This will allow it, depending on how you orientate the vent-panel, to be top or bottom, left or right.
  • This is a made-to-measure item and refunds or returns are only available if there is a manufacturing defect.

Tips
  • The seal around a vent panel can be improved by adding draught excluder where it makes contact with the window frame.
  • Do not overtighten the elastic cords as they will pull the fixing hooks off the window frame.
