    "Alexander the Great" with original title "Alexander den Store" is a Swedish comedy starring Hauk Aabel, Arthur Alftán, Gucken Cederborg, Lili Ziedner, Hjalmar Lauritz, Albin Lavén, Anna-Lisa Lindzén, August Miehe, Stina Stockenstam, Harry Madsen and others.
    The "Organization for spiritual improvement" launches a campaign against the moral decay of society by establishing an alcohol-free hotel.   
    The film was made in Sweden (has English subtitles) and features the renowned director Mauritz Stiller.
    Finnish-born director Mauritz Stiller had distinguished careers both in Sweden and in the USA, where he was recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions.
    By the standards of the average silent film "Alexander the Great" has acceptable quality and is perfectly watchable. A few seconds here and there show signs of light nitrate damage.    
    The movie is accompanied by quality music that greatly enhances the viewing experience. The DVD comes in a slim jewel case and has the cover art exactly as you see it on the photo.    We value your five-star feedback and will do all we can to earn it.
