54cup

Very rare original 16mm b/w sound film "Le Plus Beau Jeu Du Monde" Stanley Cup 1954 highlights. Even though the Red Wings win the cup that year this is a Montreal Canadiens themed film.  In french, it starts off with a few minutes documentary with film footage of 1920's and 1930's hockey, featuring the Canadiens, I'm guessing as a brief history of the team.  There's some cool footage of the Canadiens and Maroons, featuring Howie Morenz.  Then it goes in to brief overview of the Canadiens Bruins series that year, followed by the finals series highlights between the hats and red Wings.  Being a Canadiens film it simply can't end with Detroit hoisting the Stanley Cup, so to end the movie it shows a clip of the new future star of the Canadiens ... Jean Beliveau.  Comes on a large full 1200 foot reel with can.  About 1/2 hour.  Transferred just fine, no splices that I saw and has all titles.

I obtained my sports film collection from an x-NHLer, who played in the late 50's and 60's.  Im transferring them all now and selling the originals as I do them, so please keep checking back to my listings.  Pre-packed, ready to ship cheap media mail.
