BEING SOLD IN AS-IS CONDITION,
AS SOME OF THE WEIGHTED CEMENT INSIDE HAS COME LOOSE
AND THE MIRORR IS LIGHTLY LOOSE, YET SECURE, AS WELL

This mirror is weighted, cement filled, and does have a moderate rattle from part of the material inside coming loose, while the glass is lightly loose, but secure, as well.  This is very common for these type of mirrors due to use and temperature changes that expand and contract these materials over the years.  The mirror is not chipped or cracked, but does have light spots where the rear film has come loose.

Otherwise, it has no major dents or damage and very nice, ornate details to the floral design and female figure, in a highly detailed 3D raised relief that really stands out and is indicative of the Art Nouveau movement during the early 20th Century.

It has minor scratches and marks, due to use and storage over the years, very minor dents on the top of some of the higher details, and it retains a very deep level of original patina over the Sterling surface due to aging.  We chose not to clean or polish silver like this just in case a buyer prefers to have it this way.

It is clearly hallmarked on the inside top of the handle STERLING 925 PAT. AUG. 12. 02.

HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE:  Even though this mirror is not hallmarked anywhere that I can find by a maker, I was able to research this patent date.  It refers to US Design Patent number 35,993, dated August 12, 1902, assigned to Eastwood & Park Co. (1888-1922), historic listed USA silversmith from Newark, New Jersey, and designed by Walter Turton of Arlington, New Jersey.  The last photo shown is a condensed version of this patent, showing the exact design of this mirror.  It is not included with the purchase of this mirror, but is being shown for historical documentation.

This is a fantastic and very elegant piece in person for those that collect Art Nouveau design, silver by this maker, or unique vanity items, such as mirrors!  You will not be disappointed!  Would be great as a display piece or a perfect example to fully restore, too!
