Vintage Spear and Jackson saw with 8" blade, 20 teeth to the inch as counted to the best of my abiliyt

The blade  secured with 3 screws.

The logo is leapfrog, marked Warranted Cast Steel, Sheffield, Patented Machine Ground.

Aesthetically appealing, with the optimistic statement NON BREAK HANDLE and patent No 401,274 on a disc.

Age may be prewar. Has a user made protective wooden sleeve.

Due to the faults mentioned in the "condition" I feel this is one for the collector rather than the user.

The history of S & J trademarks is hard to find so I can't be sure of age.
