This map comes from the 1902 printing of The Century Atlas of the World. The atlas was
"Prepared under the superintendence of Benjamin E. Smith, A.M.," and
published by The Century Company, New York. The highly prized maps in
this atlas were engraved by The Matthews-Northrup Company of Buffalo,
NY. The maps from The Century Atlas are acknowledged to be among the finest of the late 19th century, displaying plenty of sharp detail, attractive colors, and good margins for framing.
There is an inset of Buenos Aires, Montevido and the vicinity, as well as an inset of Valparaiso, Santiago, and the vicinity
The pages are about 11 1/2 by 16 inches in size. The reverses are blank. Each map has a center fold, as published.
