This 3-d printed “ground glass” can be the next step to your photographic life with your Polaroid 600se or Polaroid 110 with a converted 600se back. If you don't already have a Polaroid 600se- get one- they are great cameras.

The custom "ground glass" I am selling is actually plastic, but it works the same. I could not sell it with glass at this price point, and I think it is a bit more worry free. If you want to buy it and convert it to glass instead of plastic, you can just unbolt it and put in the glass. Just make sure you put the frosted side towards the camera( that way you will have a perfect film plane. Using a ground glass can further preserve your precious FP100c and FP3000b while you are waiting for the new One Instant packfilm by Supersense! A ground glass plate was used in the earlier days of cameras and is still widely used by professional film cameras to this day to see exactly what image is coming through your lens. Ground glass for a typical packfilm camera can be used to give you very specific information about sharpness of focus, framing of the subject matter, and even dialing in accessory lenses for effect. If you are a lomography or experimental photography nut, this should work well for you! Throw it in your camera bag- it is light and compact. It helps to have some sort of hood if the glare from the room or space is too much. An easy hood is a black tshirt with the camera poking through the neck hole and the body of the t-shirt acting as the hood.

This is a custom ground glass, so no returns- make sure you want it before you buy it.

I reinforced the lugs for a perfectly tight fit that is really strong. I printed solid tops and bottoms with fill at 50 percent(much more than the average 20 percent fill that typical 3-d objects are printed). I also allowed for the full back area to show, so if you have made a 4x5 conversion it will allow you to preview everything without any cut off.

What the ground glass is for: If you own a Polaroid 600se and you haven't been living in a cave, you may have heard that Fuji is no longer making our beloved packfilm. This means that every shot is precious. Mamiya did make a ground glass for this camera, but it is usually over 200 dollars on ebay and is fairly rare.

About me: I am an artist, college professor, creative photographer, and maker. I sell mostly Polaroid cameras, shoot mostly analog, and love to hack things. I am and have always been a huge fan of the DIY movement. I have a blog called Lo-Fi and DIY com(lofianddiy).

Note: I put 10 business days handling on my custom camera backs because I make them to order. I often come in at earlier than that time, but sometimes I experience a lot of orders(not complaining!), so I will likely need a lot of that time to get it built and shipped to you. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding! Aaron
