Overview

Featuring Maximum Power Point Tracking MPPT from Victron Energy for fast and efficient energy harvesting and intelligent battery management (Battery Life) to protect your Campervan Motorhome battery against charge damage, the Victron MPPT 75/15 Charge Controller is ideal for users with large, heavy duty or multiple solar panels boosting their Caravan Motorhome or Campervan battery up to 15 amps of output.

Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)

Especially effective in the event of a clouded sky when light intensity is subject to change continuously, the ultra-fast Victron MPPT controller will boost energy harvest by up to 30% compared to any PWM charge controller and 10% compared to a slower MPPT controller.

Battery Life

If a solar charge controller isn’t able to recharge the battery to its full capacity within one day, then the battery can often result in being stuck in a perpetual cycle between states of being ‘partially charged’ and ‘end of discharge’. When a regular full recharge cannot be achieved in this manner, then a lead-acid battery will be destroyed within months or even weeks.

With BatteryLife, an algorithm will monitor the state of battery charge and slowly increase the load disconnect level, day by day, until absorption voltage is reached. From here, the load disconnect level will be modulated so that around once every week absorption voltage is reached.

The Victron BlueSolar MPPT Charge Controller also features resin encapsulated electronics to protect electrical components against the elements, and can be set to follow a traditional load control mode with a fixed disconnect voltage. The load output is also short circuit proof and can supply capacitive loads such as an inverter.

What is an MPPT controller?

Simply put, the Victron MPPT charge controller converts the incoming power from the solar panel into the optimum voltage to charge the battery bank. Most solar panels typically produce approx. 17.5v at maxi-mum power, however a 12v battery only needs around 14v to charge it. With a normal 'pwm' solar controller this voltage difference is effectively 'lost' - it just disappears in the charging process. However, with an MPPT controller, the excess voltage is converted into extra current, which results in more power going into the battery. The Victron MPPT is most effective on hazy/winter days and when the battery charge is low, you reap the benefits when power is needed the most.

What does delivery cost?

Please refer to the shipping price at the top of this listing, shipping fees vary across the board on all our items. The prices are for our standard delivery service which is within 1-2 working days.

Deliveries are usually made between 9am - 4pm Monday- Friday.  No time can be specified and a signature is required on receipt. Goods can be left on your property without a signature; however this is at your own risk.

This price does not include Saturday delivery - if you require Saturday delivery please call us and we can quote you for the additional cost. 

Orders taken by 3pm on any working day can usually be dispatched the same day for the next working day delivery at no extra cost.

Certain postcodes incur a surcharge - Scottish Highlands and Islands (FK17-99, KW1-17, G63, G82-onwards, IV1-28, IV33-39, PA21-33, AB, PA35-40, PH1-onwards), The Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland, SA, TR, PL, PO, TQ, EX, E and EC.  If your postcode falls within a surcharge area you will have to contact us for shipping costs.

Please note: We are unable to ship certain items to Off shore Islands due to their size and fragility.

Surcharge areas are decided by the courier companies, not JLS Ltd.

When will my order be delivered?

95% of orders taken by 3pm are dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery (This time may drop in our busy periods, mid summer & December).

For urgent next day deliveries, we recommend you call.

Most deliveries take place between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday - Friday, though please note that we are not able to give a firm guarantee of an AM or PM delivery and our carriers do deliver up until 5.00pm.

PLEASE CHECK THE CONTENTS OF YOUR DELIVERY, THE GOODS MAY GET DAMAGED IN TRANSIT.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN WE ACCEPT A CLAIM FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE IF THE GOODS ARE SIGNED FOR AS "IN GOOD CONDITION", "UNEXAMINED" OR "UNCHECKED" YOU MUST SIGN AS "DAMAGED"

Booking fitters and installers prior to delivery

Customers booking engineers etc to fit equipment based on the assumption that goods will arrive undamaged/missing parts and on the expected delivery day do so at their own risk.  Jacksons Leisure Ltd can not be held liable for any costs incurred.

Can I specify a delivery date?

If there is a specific date on which you would like your order delivered, please state so when placing your order.

We will do our utmost to deliver on the date specified and if we cannot accommodate the date requested we will telephone or email you.

If you require a Saturday delivery, please call us after placing your order.

Do I need to be in to receive my order?

You can request to have your order left without signature, or to have the order left with a neighbour.

Please specify clearly where you would like your order left or call us.

Please Note:

  • If you request goods to be left without signature, e.g. "Round the back of the house" or "On front porch" etc this is at your own risk - we cannot take responsibility for goods that are subsequently stolen or damaged

Can I have my order delivered to an alternative address?

Yes you can. You'll see that when you place an order you can enter billing and delivery addresses. It is essential that the postcode is provided together with a phone number for the delivery address in order that there is not a delay. 

If you request a change of delivery address after placing an order then an additional charge of £15 will be levied (this is the couriers re-direct charge).

My goods have not arrived

If your goods have not arrived within 2 working days of receiving notification of them being dispatched or you have not had any information regarding the status of your order then contact us via email, however if possible we strongly advise you to phone us since during busy times we can have a backlog of emails.

I want to return or cancel my order, what do I do?

It's ok to change your mind. We'll accept a request to return goods up to 14 days after delivery providing the following terms are met:

  • All packaging must be intact so that the item is in an unused and resaleable condition
  • Seals and wrapping must be unbroken
  • Postage costs are covered by the customer (the delivery charge of your order will be deducted from your refund)
  • If you want cancel let us know ASAP (by phone)
  • In the event you place the order and immediately decide to cancel you must let us know the fastest way possible to avoid incurring costs. PLEASE DO THIS ASAP, WE RECOMMEND DOING THIS BY PHONE. This is the quickest way and in most cases means we can stop the order being packed and shipped.  Sending an email which can take longer to be picked up, will often mean the order has already gone and shipping costs will be incurred.


How to return an item by post:

  • Pack the goods carefully so they will not be damaged in transit
  • Enclose a brief explanatory note and your contact details
  • Print out our address label.
  • Fill in the RMA number and attach it to your parcel and take it to your local post office
  • Returned items should be received into our warehouse within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
  • We can collect in some circumstances
  • We can arrange collection of the goods in some cases and pass this cost onto you, collection charges depend on the item size, value and your location, minimum collection costs starts at around £10.  We would advise you of the cost before we proceeded with a collection. Failed collections are still chargeable.

How to return large or heavy items:

Please send us a message for guidance if the item you wish to return weighs over 5kg. There may be additional charges to cover the cost of collecting large or heavy items. If we have to instruct our courier to collect, the collection charges may be between £13.60 (small parcel) - £80.00 (if palletised)

Do I have to pay postage if I return an order?

If you've changed your mind about an item you will need to pay for the cost of returning it.    
The cost of dispatch postage is non-refundable.

If you have received the wrong item or there is a fault with it, we will cover the cost for you. If this is the case, please contact us.

Warranty: Most items are covered by a manufacturer′s warranty whose terms have to be adhered to.

 

Return of faulty Items

Faulty items should be advised by telephone and an initial checklist with one of our Technical Team completed during the call to try to resolve the issue.
The tech consultant can agree to check out the fault and arrange for collection of the item.
A replacement item or refund will be issued if it is found to be faulty,
If an item is returned as faulty and after testing no problem can be found with it, the costs of collection plus an administration fee of £10.00 will be payable by the customer.
We reserve the right to deduct these costs from any refund due.

Missing Parts (non critical)

Very rarely goods may arrive missing a part, we reserve the right to post the missing part within a reasonable time limit and that such a missing part does not constitute an excuse for the customer to demand a complete replacement of the goods dispatched or for the goods to be collected and refunded. Your statutory rights are not affected
