Welcome to ANTIQUES & MOORE!

This listing is for a lovely Sterling Silver bowl made by the Tuttle Silversmiths in the DUBLIN pattern, c. 1937.

The bowl has a beautifully fluted body with scalloped rim and low pedestal base. Engraved with elaborately intertwined 3-letter monogram "M W H". Marked with the Tuttle trademark stamp and "Dublin Pattern" with the presidential date code for the fifth year of the administration of Franklin Roosevelt (1933-1945) which would date the bowl 1937. Bowl is also marked "Made for Shreve, Crump & Low Co., Sterling, 2670". The Tuttle Silversmiths started business in Boston MA in 1890 and is now a division of Wallace. Tuttle began using the presidential date codes at the beginning of the Calvin Coolidge administration and continued through the Clinton administration and are possibly still using this system today

Measures 4" high, 8" in diameter with the base measuring 4 1/8" in diameter. Weighs 490 grams.

This nice silver bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws although there are faint surface scratches on the interior from normal wear.
