This listing is for a lovely American Sterling Silver backed hair brush with fancy Repousse floral pattern. Has fancy 3-letter monogram that is faint and illegible with the cartouche so smooth that the monogram is barely noticed. Marked on edge of brush frame with the trademark stamp of the Simmons Bros. and "Sterling, 162". The Simons Bros. established business in Philadelphia PA in 1840.
Measures 9" long and 3" wide. Weighs 130 grams or 4.6 ounces.
This nice brush is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There are some faint no-harm dents around the interior edge that holds the brush in place. The natural brush bristles are clean and in good usable condition. The monogram is worn and is very faint.
