**** CUSTOMER QUESTION… “In other words this kit tunes the carbys,  sorry for the dumb question”

MY ANSWER… well, it doesn't “tune” them per se...  it is a useful tool to HELP you achieve a balanced motor.

Like other tools (eg timing light) it doesn’t “solve “ a problem,  but it helps YOU to solve it.  There is a distinction.

You could say it helps "balance" them. Supposing at idle you want the front and the rear carby to be "drawing" the same amount of air... well you use this.

Or, just as likely…. the converse… maybe you have twiddled with your carbs and found the sweet position even though they are not the “same”… now you want to be able to recreate that “particular setup” quickly at some later stage… well this will help there too in its visual representation.

You can also record the figs at varying idles too.

Nothing more annoying than having it spot on, then not being able to quantify those settings.   It all helps with recreating and quantifying a set-up.

It's an extra tool to use in your quest for an even idle. It won't fix a problem... if a float level is wrong then fiddling with mixtures and idle-screws is like "fixing" a "bacteria-infected chest" with pain-killers... it sort of "fixes" it in a different way ... but not really.

So, like all tools, it HELPS you achieve an outcome, but it's not a magic wand. Eg a timing light is a useful tool but it doesn't necessarily “fix” a problem.

Years ago we used to try and do this by ear. This just gives you an accurate visual idea of the air going down each carby.

Hope this sort of helps you

To look for items in my shop, it is easiest to look in the yellow box of "shop categories".   Select the category of interest and all items in that category will appear.  It is much easier than keywords.  Alternatively, if it is not showing, then select “visit store” at the top right (NOT “see other items” !!!) and the yellow box will be there

For example "BRAKE"   or   "TRAFFICATOR parts"   or "LIGHTS"   or   "AXLES"   or   "COOLING"  etc etc
