Welcome to  Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a gorgeous 19th Century French Champleve on bronze footed double inkwell inkstand with matching paper knife or letter opener. The flat platform surface of the stand is decorated with Sevres porcelain hand painted with two playful Cherubs in the clouds, and artist signed "Damis". The colors used are shades of turquoise, cobalt and white with intricate details in the design. The bronze inkstand is decorated with Champleve enamel on each inkwell, around the perimeter of the inkstand and on both sides of the letter opener. Inkwells have bronze hinged tops and are mounted onto the stand that sits on four bronze decorated tall feet/legs.

Measures 4" high with the tray being 7 3/4" long and 5 1/8" wide. Weighs 2.6 pounds.

This nice inkwell set is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws to the bronze stand, Champleve enamel decoration or to the Sevres porcelain tray. The internal glass inkwell inserts are missing. The right front leg is slightly sorter than the others, however, this is hardly noticeable and does not detract from this beautiful inkstand.

We welcome International buyers, however, please be aware that we as sellers can not be responsible for any random Customs inspections or charges incurred with this purchase.
