Old Indian Tribal silver coin pendant. Antique. Small. Solid fine silver.

Description:

This is a Old Silver tribal pendant.

The pendant was originally a coin and has been made and worn by the tribal gypsy people of Rajasthan in Northern India. I bought it in Rajastan myself. It is 100-150 years old, and is extremely pure solid silver 98% pure (sterling silver is 92.5%). It is double sided and has arabic writing on both sides.   It is small but quite thick and very solid feeling.
The hoop at the top is 6.7mm internal diameter, which is big enough for the clasp of a small silver chain to pass through.

The coin is 1.6 cm acoss. The pendant is 2.3 cm high. It is 2.25 mm thick.

I will send the pendant on a length of very strong black cotton cord, tied into an adjustable length slip knot.

I have been making my living exclusively from designing and  making jewellery for 9 years. I travel every year to seek out old and tribal silver from Asia and India along with semi-precious stones. Back at home in Brighton, England,  I make these loose pieces up into beautiful and unusal jewellery.

Every item will be send beautifully packaged in a cotton gift bag made especially for me by a women's self help group in India.
