Antique Wooden Walking Stick with Carved Head Handle

This wooden walking stick looks to date from the early part of the twentieth century. It has a carved head handle, and is carved on the back 'Kepkypa', which is a town in Corfu, Greece. It is quite naive.

Condition: Overall in fair condition with some wear and damage consistent with age and use. It is quite grubby and would benefit from a careful clean and polish. There is some surface marking, wear and denting, including a heavy abrasion to the back near the top. There is some damage and splitting around the base and the stick is missing its metal or rubber bottom. Some black tape has been added later. The wood is quite faded (discoloured) and worn at the bottom.

The approx. measurements are as follows:

90cm long.          (Ref. #16832)
