DESCRIPTION

In the original cloth binding.

With the publisher's adverts dated November 1859.

The uncommon first edition in book form.

With the bookplate of Philip John Budworth Esq, Greensted Hall Essex. Captain Philip John Budworth of Greensted Hall was an English magistrate and one-time Deputy Lieutenant of Essex.

'The Kelly's and the O'Kellys' was one of many novels by Trollope about Ireland. The comedic novel is a comparison of the romantic pursuits made by noble Francis O'Kelly, and his Catholic tenant, Martin Kelly.

Trollope was a successful author of the Victorian era. His best known writings were his 'Chronicles of Barsetshire'.

A lovely example of this work.
