This listing is for a Zenith Model 6L01 AM/FM Tube Stereo Tuner, made in 1964.

We are not entirely sure who made the 12DT8 - the engraving says Siemens-Halske, but the seams imply Mullard. Of course, by the time this tube was made, Philips owned most of the tube manufacturers in Europe, so who can say what might have happened?

It was pulled from a Model RL2602-3 Stereo Console and has a 3 pin socket for line level output, two RCA leads for receiving the signal from the record changer, an amphenol connector for receiving power from the amp and another for exporting power to the record changer.

Pulled from a Model RL260203 Stereo Console. Prior to removal, the console was brought up on a Variac and the tuner preamp was tested. It was found to receive on both AM and FM and supply a line level signal to the amp in both radio and phono modes. You should expect to have to replace any necessary capacitors or out of spec resistors and do any other necessary work prior to using it. As with any vintage item, components can fail at any time. It is therefor sold as-is, as a restoration project.

This is the only one on the market - don't let it get away!
