Choice little early 19th century turned wood box from China in a variety of elm, it appears, and in a gorgeous original reddish hue. Probably a paste box or scholars box of some sort. Delightful in every way. Pairs nicely with the other similar box listed. Measuring about 4 inches across and 3.5 inches height.
