DESCRIPTION

Illustrated frontispiece of a woman killing a fowl with numerous illustrations throughout, all by Malischeff.

Includes the stories, The Tiny Screw, Browny and The Old Sword's Mistake.

Feliks Vadimovich Volkhovsky was a Russian revolutionary, journalist and writer. He was arrested many times; in 1874 he was a defendant at the 1878 'Trial of the 193' and banished to Siberia. He escaped in 1889 via America. Volkhovsky was involved in 'Land and Liberty' and, when that group split in 1879, in 'The People's Will'.


CONDITION

In a cloth binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed with mark to corner of front board and fading to backstrip. Bumping to corners and head and tail of spine. Internally, generally firmly bound with pages bright and clean.
