This attractive pair of figurines, one male, one female, look to date from the late nineteenth century and are probably of German origin. There are no maker's marks, but they both have the number 319 on the back. They are decorated in blue and white and have some hand-painted features.

Condition: Overall in good condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. The male figure has some chipping around the base. Both have some rubbing and wear to the paintwork and some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected. The male figurine does not quite sit flat on his base.
