As wool expands a little when wet, it should fit snugly otherwise it might
be prone to sagging around the bottom and you don't want the world to
see you as you emerge from the ocean with the back of the swimsuit
around your knees!
The sizes given in the pattern are therefore not those of the finished
garment but will stretch once you have it on.
Pattern is for a 32-34 inch bust
Materials needed:
4oz approx 120grams dark color 3ply - baby or fingering weights
in main color and 1oz approx 30grams in light color
No. 11 needles (old size) - 3.00 mm UK
No. 13 needles (old size) - 2.25mm UK or 1 US
The needles and hooks are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart for
reference to modern sizes.
