 AN EXTREMELY RARE AUSTRALIAN JAZZ, RECORDED IN MELBOURNE IN 1955, BY A QUINTETTE LEAD BY A DRUMMER!


NOT MANY REMEMBER THE "PORT ORMOND KIOSK", LOCATED CLOSE TO NORTH ROAD LIFE SAVING CLUB!!!. (SOMEWHERE CLOSE TO TODAY'S ST. KILDA). THERE USED TO BE ORGANISED DANCING NIGHTS BACK IN THE 50'S. AND THERE L.C USED TO PLAY WITH HIS QUINTET. PLAYING THE RECORD REALISED THE QUALITY OF THE PLAYING AND THE MUSIC THEY PLAYED.

RECORD CONDITION: LOOKS VG+ (VERY FINE LINES AND SUPERFICIAL SCUFFS)

PLAYS WITH SOME LIGHT CRACKLES IN BETWEEN VG+ AND EX (MORE TOWARDS EX).  


COVER CONDITION: FRONT HAS A IMPRESSION OF THE RECORD DIAMETER INTO THE LOWER SIDE AND A BIT OF AGEING ON THE BACK COVER. SMALL AREA PEALED THE SUPERFICIAL WHITE PAPER, ON TOP CORNER (ON THE BACK)
