|   What to avoid when buying quilts and home textiles?

1.    Avoid low grade fabrics: A quilt or a window panel is a large piece that fills a significant visual space in a room. A cheap / low grade fabric, widely available at discount chains and big boxes, would cheapen the whole mood of the space. On the other hand a rich well-built accessory such as a bolster pillow/ throw pillow or a throw would elevate the whole décor of the room.

2.    Avoid poor construction: Cheap quilts are assembled with heat adhesion rather than a stitch. Heat adhesion would disassemble overtime and after wash.

3.    Avoid low weight product: Paper thin built: Poor drape cheapens the whole décor.

4.    Avoid “Dry clean only”: Think twice before buying, a daily use household item should not require intensive care

5.    Remember the adage “I’m not rich enough to buy cheap things.” Remorse costs more. Quality home textiles are designed to last several years, a little more goes a long way.
