This listing is for an impressive mid-late 19th Century English flow blue polychrome ironstone large lidded tureen with Asian type design. The tureen has a deep round body with pedestal base and two large gilt decorated handles. The design has good flow blue coloration with rust and salmon added to the decoration in the typical polychrome coloration. The dome shaped lid has a large intertwined handle with rich blue coloration embellished with gilding and a cut-out slot to accommodate a ladle. Marked with unidentified blue under glaze trademark stamp with "Ironstone China" above and Reg. Patent" below.

Measures 10" high (as shown including cover), 6 1/4" high (to edge of bowl/base), 10 3/4" wide (not including handles), 13" wide (handle to handle) and has a 6 3/4" diameter base. Weighs 7.13 pounds.

The bowl and lid are in excellent Estate condition with rich coloration and no noted flaws.
